At Quincunx Academic, we create curated educational experiences tailored to the individual requirements and ambitions of our students. We are not a tutoring company. Instead, we design bespoke programmes that immerse students in the heart of British academic and intellectual life.
Our students work directly with leading academics, contribute to live and funded research projects, working in world-famous universities, libraries, archives and museums, and develop hands-on experience of the work that scholars and professionals actually undertake.
Each programme combines rigorous intellectual training with real-world experience, developing the critical thinking, independence, confidence and research skills that distinguish exceptional candidates for the world’s leading universities. Beyond admission, Quincunx programmes provide an intellectual foundation for future careers in politics, law, international business and other competitive fields.
Some examples of our programmes include:
Research Scholar Programme
Our students have gained first-hand experience of cutting-edge academic research by working alongside UK academics as research assistants on live projects. They have learned to use scholarly databases, specialist research tools and academic methods while making genuine contributions to ongoing research. Previous programmes have also included in-person meetings with academics in London and Oxford, access to leading research libraries, and guided visits to major museums and cultural institutions.
Humanities Foundations Programme
Bespoke short courses designed to prepare students for the demands of undergraduate study in the humanities. Working one-to-one with expert tutors on a subject of their choice, students develop the core skills expected at leading universities, including close reading, critical analysis, academic writing, independent research and discussion. These courses aim to challenge students and move them beyond the comfort zone of secondary education, allowing them to immediately thrive at university
